01How we work

Survey, seal, record, hand over

One thread, from survey to handover.

Once the boards go on, a seal is out of sight. So as standard each seal goes through the same four steps, and each step leaves something you can check later.

  1. 1.1Survey

    We walk the compartment line with your drawings and drop a pin on each penetration and gap we find, so each seal has an address on the drawing.

  2. 1.2Seal

    Each seal goes in to the tested detail specified for that wall or floor. We record the product used and who fitted it.

Install, survey, record

Fitted to the detail. Recorded as we go.

We install to the tested detail in the specification, and we record each seal as it goes in.

    Linear gap sealing

    Head-of-wall, wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor gaps closed, so the compartment line runs unbroken.

    Fire compartmentation

    Breaches in compartment walls, floors and service voids made good.

    Intrusive surveys

    We open up ceiling voids, risers and cupboards and record what we find on the drawing, with photos.

    Cavity barriers

    Cavity barriers fitted to close concealed voids in ceilings, roofs and floors.

    Remediation works

    A defect list priced, worked through and closed out against its original reference, with before and after photos.

    Records and handover

    A seal-by-seal register with photos, pins and data sheets, handed over when the work is done.
